OnlyFans Updates Its Terms and Subs Gets a Famous Co-Owner: What Creators Are Saying

Two creator platform stories landed within days of each other. One is a rewrite of the terms on the biggest name in the space. The other is a newer platform with a very famous co-owner. Here is what each one says.

OnlyFans terms change on November 1

OnlyFans emailed creators on October 1 about updated terms that start November 1. According to reporting from the Riverfront Times, the main changes are:

  • A lower bar for suspensions. The old wording needed a belief that a creator had "seriously or repeatedly" broken the rules. That requirement is gone, and the terms now cover breaches OnlyFans thinks a creator "have or may have" committed.
  • Two new reasons to suspend. Actions OnlyFans believes could cause a loss or reputational harm, and not promptly providing information it asks for.
  • Less promised notice. OnlyFans commits to "reasonable efforts" to tell creators about a suspension or deletion.
  • Earnings can be held more easily. With suspensions easier to trigger, earnings on a suspended account can be held. They can also go to a third party with a legal right to them, such as under a court order.
  • New AI and data rules. AI-generated, altered or enhanced content must clearly feature the verified creator, on top of the labeling rule. Tools built to collect data from OnlyFans content, and training AI on creator content, are now restricted.
The 20% platform fee is reported as unchanged. These are press summaries, so the terms themselves are the place to check exact wording.

What creators are saying

A thread in r/onlyfansadvice, posted the day after the email, drew a lot of discussion. It is one community and not a poll, but a few themes stood out.

  • Withdrawing often. The most upvoted replies were about cashing out as soon as earnings reach the minimum, because OnlyFans is not required to pay out a balance if something happens to an account.
  • New or just reworded? Some commenters said the power to suspend and hold earnings existed before and the text only makes it clearer. Others said removing "seriously or repeatedly" changes what a suspected breach can trigger.
  • Third-party tools. Commenters were split. Some read the data rule as aimed at scraping, not the chat and CRM tools many creators and agencies use. Others said such tools were never allowed but are hard to detect. A few welcomed tighter rules, saying fans can tell when a bot or an agency is replying. Others said the tools help them keep up with messages around the clock. Several said they were waiting for OnlyFans to clarify.

Subs and its new co-owner

Subs.com was co-founded by OnlyFans co-founder Tim Stokely. On October 9, Megan Fox launched a page there, and by October 13 UK Tech News reported she had taken an ownership stake. Her page lets fans follow for free, subscribe for $19.99 a month, or buy individual posts.

Subs describes itself as a home for established names in entertainment, sport and music, so where does adult content fit? Its terms say Subs permits "certain adult content," with limits:

  • Sexually explicit content, meaning explicit sexual activity or visible genitalia, cannot go in public, follower or subscriber posts. Nude breasts, buttocks and sheer lingerie are excluded from that definition.
  • Explicit content can appear in direct messages, pay-per-view content, calls, and paid private content not offered as a subscriber post.
  • Subs decides what counts as sexually explicit.
The terms also list a 20% fee, a $50 minimum withdrawal, payments through a third-party provider, and age verification.

Where collabs fit in

Platform rules differ, and they can change with a month's notice. The audience a creator builds through collabs sits somewhere else: on X, Bluesky and Instagram, where a follow stays a follow whichever subscription site a creator uses.

That is the space JustCollabs works in. It is a verified-only place to find collab partners and photographers across those three platforms.

JustCollabs is a free, verified-only collaboration platform for adult content creators, operating across 1000+ cities.
