Who can see my profile?

Your profile's visibility on JustCollabs depends on your verification status, interactions with other users, and the DM request system:

  • Verified Users: Once your profile is verified, it becomes discoverable by other verified users on the Performers and Roles pages. They can see your profile information, including your bio, photos, location, travel plans, and other details you've shared, to help find potential collaborators.

  • Public Profile URL: Your profile is accessible at justcollabs.com/{nickname}. This public page shows a limited view of your profile and allows visitors to send you a DM request.

  • Unverified Users & Discovery: If your profile is not yet verified, or if your verification is pending or denied, your profile will NOT appear on the Performers or Roles pages, so most users won't find you through discovery features. Similarly, you won't be able to browse those pages until you are verified.

  • DM Request Exception (Important!): Even if you're not verified, you can still view profiles of users who have accepted your DM (Direct Message) request, and they can view yours. This works both ways:

    • If you're unverified: You can send DM requests to creators. If they accept, you can both view each other's full profiles and chat.
    • If they're unverified: Someone can send you a DM request. If you accept, you can both view each other's profiles regardless of verification status.

    This allows meaningful connections to form before verification, while preventing spam and maintaining platform quality.

  • Blocking: You can block any user at any time (managed in Settings > Blocked). If you block someone (or they block you), you will not be able to see each other's profiles or interact, regardless of DM requests or verification status.

  • Age Visibility: You have the option to hide your specific age from being displayed on your profile, even though your birth date is used for age verification.

  • General Public: The platform is designed as a network for its registered members. Full profiles are not visible to the general public or search engines.

Summary:

  • Always visible to: Yourself, users who have accepted DM requests with you
  • Visible to verified users (if you're verified): Through the Performers and Roles pages
  • Limited public view: Via your public profile URL (justcollabs.com/{nickname})
  • Never visible to: Blocked users

The goal is to create a trusted environment where creators can connect safely while giving everyone a pathway to make meaningful connections.
